    Application areas

    Tigonis Rust Remover removes rust and prevents further rusting of:
    ► New or old reinforcement steel in construction
    ► Embedded steel in repairable structures
    ► Removes rust from tanks, pipelines, trusses, purlins, rafters etc.
    ► Ball bearings, valves, hacksaws, hammers and other tools.
    ► Ideal for protecting rust-prone reinforcements
    ► Has a great domestic use advantage and can clean rusted utensils padlocks metal hinges handles, knobs, almirah and other iron based surfaces.
    ► Can be used in the automobile segment for rust cleaning on Car shells and other metal surfaces.

  3. Method of Application

    1. SURFACE PREPARATION
    In case of heavy rusting of steel reinforcement, M.S. pipelines, M.S. plates or any other M.S. surface, remove the loose rust by wire brushing, chipping, hammering or grinding so that majority of rust scale is removed.
    2. APPLICATION
    Apply Tigonis Rust Remover on affected surface by using cotton waste swab or by brush application. Leave the surface to react with Tigonis Rust Remover for at least 15 to 30 minutes.
    The rusty surface will change its colour to original blackish steel; remove the same with cotton cloth.
    Then remove the loose rust particles by scrubbing or simple dusting with the brush.
    Wash the steel surface with water jet to remove the entire residue left on the bar, and clean with cotton cloth.
    3. FINISH
    When applied over corroded reinforcement steel, wash the surface with clean water before taking up further work of repairs.

  4. SURFACE PREPARATION

    Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from all defective or poorly adhering material, dirt, grease,
    wax, etc. Remove all loose or poorly adhering materials by rubbing down using emery paper and
    thereafter wipe clean. Treat fungus affected area using proper Fungicidal Solution. Allow to react for
    6-8 hrs. Apply a coat of TIONIS INTERIOR Cement Primer Water Thinnable followed by TIGONIS Wall Putty to make a uniform surface and again apply a coat of INTERIOR Cement Primer WT. Now apply 2-3 coats of TIGONIS Acrylic Distemper of desired Shade.

    As with all chemical products, caution should always be exercised. Use of safety hand gloves is recommended. Treat any contact to the skin or eyes with fresh water immediately.
